How long do you keep my data?
We keep only caches of your Google data, with Google as the authoritative source. Cached mail content ages out on a short schedule, and when you delete your account we complete deletion across our systems within 30 days.
Some records are kept longer where required — for example, authentication and security audit events are retained for at least 90 days, and legal holds can extend retention where the law requires. The full schedule is in the Data Retention & Deletion Policy.
