Does it act as me?
Yes. The assistant acts under your identity, from your account — anyone receiving mail or a calendar invite sees it as coming from you, exactly as with a human assistant working in your accounts.
There is no separate "assistant address." Replies, invitations, and other actions originate from your own Gmail and Calendar. You can optionally have the assistant add an attribution footer to messages it composes, and control that from Assistant Email Preferences. It never sends to unengaged incoming mail without your instruction, and it asks before anything sensitive.
