Can Lonzo read its replies aloud in a natural voice?
Yes. On both plans you can choose the Lonzo voice in Account → Reading voice, and Lonzo reads its replies to you aloud in English in one natural voice, the same on the web and in the app (on Android, once your app is up to date). Replies in other languages are read in your device's own voice. Until you choose it, replies are read in your device's or browser's own voice, which stays the default.
Choosing it. Open Account, find Reading voice, and pick Lonzo voice. The first time, Lonzo shows a short notice explaining what happens to the text it reads, and the voice is used only if you choose Use it. Not now leaves your device's voice in place.
Where the text goes. To read a reply aloud, Lonzo passes the text of that reply to Amazon Polly, an Amazon Web Services speech service, which turns it into audio. Replies can include details from your mail, calendar, contacts and tasks. The audio is played to you and not kept. Your own voice isn't involved: this is about how Lonzo's replies are read to you, not about dictation.
Usage. Each reply read in the Lonzo voice counts toward your plan's included usage, by its length. If you reach the limit for a period, replies are read in your device's voice until your allowance resets.
Switching back. Pick Automatic or any device voice in Account → Reading voice at any time. If the Lonzo voice can't play a reply, for example when you're offline, that reply is read in your device's voice instead.
The Lonzo voice isn't available to guests or to an account without a subscription. The Privacy Policy is the full statement of what is sent and to whom.
