What is the Lonzo Agent?

The Lonzo Agent is open-source software (Apache-2.0) that runs on your own computer and connects to your Lonzo account, so you can give it work from Lonzo and get the results back in Lonzo Chat. Connecting it requires an active Lonzo Basic subscription; if your subscription ends, the connection stops working until you subscribe again.

It uses your own model account. The Lonzo Agent's own AI work runs through your own account with a model provider — at launch, your own Amazon Web Services account, using AWS Bedrock — and that provider bills you for it directly, under its own terms. Those calls use no Bars, and they don't pass through our servers. When the Agent returns a result into Lonzo Chat, Lonzo's work on it uses Bars like any other Chat answer.

Lonzo never sends it your Google data. Nothing we obtained from your Google account — your mail, calendar, contacts or tasks, or anything derived from them — is sent to the Lonzo Agent, so none of it reaches your computer or the prompts it sends to your model provider.

It keeps a copy of some of your account on your computer. To do the work you give it, the Agent keeps the parts of your Lonzo account it needs — its own jobs, plans and notes, the conversations it takes part in, and your settings — on the computer it runs on, kept up to date while it is connected. Anyone who can use that computer as you may be able to read them, so protecting it is in your hands. Disconnecting the Agent, letting your subscription lapse, or deleting your Lonzo account does not delete that copy: to remove it, delete the Lonzo Agent's data directory on that computer.

How to connect it. Install the Lonzo Agent on your computer, then sign in to Lonzo on the web and create a one-time connection code, and enter it in the Agent. It ships with the features it has today; more come later. At launch it runs on Macs with Apple silicon.

The full description of what the Agent exchanges with Lonzo is in the Privacy Policy.
